Introduction

Moodle is an open source e-learning platform, also known as a Learning Management System, or Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). Moodle helps facilitate a broad range of learning activities including sharing of resources, discussions, assignments and more. There are a number of other tools that make it easier to build communities of learners, including blogs, messaging, participant lists etc. Access Moodle by going to  https://vle.rumc.edu.my/v1 and log in using the same username and password that you use to access the RUMC network. If you don’t have an RUMC email address, use the username and password that was provided to you.

This guide will give you short instructions and demonstrations on the basics of using Moodle. There is also an online manual on the Moodle Support page. Suggestions for additions or edits to this guide are welcome - please contact IT support through Moodle with your ideas.

We recommend using a good and up-to-date browser such as Firefox or Chrome to access Moodle.
